PoE Overload Cisco CBS350 2 devices on 1 port

Hi All,

I am facing some challenges with the Cisco CBS 350. when connecting a Unifi IN wall Access point along with a Cisco IP Phone. The port keeps on resetting itself after a minute and in the POE Event Counter it states that it had a POE overload. Which would be pretty much impossible seeing that these ports support POE up to 30W. In this case the phone and AP combined consume about 8W.

On the Catalyst 2960S or X series switches I do not have this issue. Not even on the old Catalyst 3560.

Does anyone maybe have the solution for this? I even changed POE settings from Class Limit to Port Limit but sadly this did not resolve the issue.

 - Could be a bug as this one :

              https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCud13126

Your particular platform is not mentioned , you may still want to use the latest firmware however.

Hi,

I performed a firmware update on the switch yesterday but that also didn't seem to solve the issue.

-  Depending on urgency you may want to contact cisco support to escalate this problem :
