Hello David,

You need to upgrade the firmware first to 1.3.5.58 and then you will be able to upgrade to latest firmware.

You need to upgrade the boot code also. The latest boot code is  1.3.5.06. Boot code can be upgrade only with TFTP.

You can download the zip file with both boot code and firmware here:

https://software.cisco.com/download/home/283019681/type/282463181/release/1.3.5.58

 Hope it helps

Cheers,

Mike

Hi David,

i am suggesting you to upgrade switch with newest OS at first task. use below link.
https://software.cisco.com/download/home/283019681/type/282463181/release/1.4.9.4

if same error occurs, you can contact TAC support to resolve issue with RMA.

Hi  Kasun Bandara,

Thank you for your information, I suspect the hardware problem because of many ports had been up/down at the sametime.

Regards,

david

Hello David,

Just try to reset to factory defaults and then configure the switch manually (don't restore old backup config) and check again.

Sometimes when you upgrade from very old firmware, the config doesn't match well the new features and commands introduced meanwhile.

If again you will see the issues/problems, please call our center and open service request, we will help.

I hope it helps

Cheers,

Mike

If it is the case, better open a TAC with support.

good luck
