We have a customer who is having some issues with the port security that is automatically enabled by auto smart port.
Is it possible to have auto voice vlan WITHOUT auto smart port?
This is using Cisco IP phones on a UC540.
Any other recommendations for dealing with issues of port security on these switches? We would really rather have it disabled entirely -- it is not necessary for this environment.

Hi Daniel, the auto voice vlan is dependent upon the smart port.
You may use Telephony oui as an alternative.

So 3 times now the same customer has had multiple PCs (ALL of them + phones this time...) no longer able to access the network. Rebooting the switch fixes the issue. It *seems* to be port security related... however they are not moving PCs around or anything.
Any thoughts on what this could be or how to troubleshoot it?
