SF300 Switch

Dear All,

          Anybody can support me to configure SF300 48port switch as DHCP Server or not.

My Configuration as below

I have 8 vlan configure in SF300  (SVI with ip address)

isit possible to configure dhcp server and how i can apply access-list to restrict with other vlans.

Hi, yes you may use an external DHCP server and depending on what you're using it does support multiple scopes. A lot of free programs do not support multiple DHCP scopes.

Hi MRS, at this time the switch does not support a built in DHCP server. You will need an external DHCP server.

            Thanks for your email, i mean before it support DHCPserver?,  I can used external dhcp server and i can assign 4 vlan through external dhcp server, isit possible?

maximum how many scope it will support? i will used windows dhcp server.

before this switch support dhcp server.

Hi tom,

         Thanks for your update about cisco 827 router.  Tom unable to create put command 802.1 on sub interface i am getting error which i was put.  if possible can you send complete command so i will check once again.

But i have one issue that,  i make 827 as dhcp server with 4 scopes and i create sub interface and vlan in sf300 switch, each sub interface have one ip address and same that ip address mention as gateway in dhcp scope.  how i can mention dhcp relay in sf300 switch on sub interface in sf300. if i connect 827 ethernet 0 to sf300 switch port 48.
