We setup about 5 MAC based VLAN groups with about 40 MACs total and now we are getting "There are no resources for this range.." when we try to add more MACs or try to assign them to the port/VLAN "MAC-Based Groups to VLAN". We tried to reboot and use the CLI, same error. Is there some undocumented small limit on the MAC based VLAN groups?

Hello Cisco Support,
I am getting the same error
>>Port gi4, There are no resources for this range.
Could some point out what kind of limits we have on the MAC based groups.
I created a group with 137 MAC entries.
NewAdminRishi(config)#interface range ge1-6
NewAdminRishi(config-if-range)#switchport general map macs-group 111 vlan 10
Port gi4, There are no resources for this range.
Port gi5, There are no resources for this range.
Port gi6, There are no resources for this range.
When I look at the switch its mapping this group only to 3 ports. Please advise.
Thank you,
Sree.

Hello Sreenath,
If you do a show run can you do you have a
map mac aa:11:aa:11:aa:11 48 macs-group 111
line or something similar?
Also note:
(The MAC based VLAN does not bind the port dynamically to the MAC group VLAN; the interface to
which the MAC-based VLAN is defined must be manually added to this VLAN.)
