SG200-08 Upgrade to 1.4.x .ros image fails

The release notes for 1.4.10.06 state that an upgrade to 1.3.5.x should be done first.  However no such update exists.  Current boot code is 1.0.0.12 and image is 1.0.8.3.  It wants an .stk file but new format is .ros.  Boot images for larger switches will not take (CRC error).  Anyone know where to get a boot and/or image update that will get the SG200-08 to accept a .ros upgrade?

Apparently the SG200 8-port models, including the P, have a different code base than the larger SG models, hence the lack of boot firmware and image compatibility.  This is also why the SG200-08x uses .slk images as opposed to .ros images.  Therefore, there is no currently available update for these models.

Not sure if this is relevant -- but the checksum for the SG200-26's 1.4.10.06 firmware image is the exact same as the SG200-08 1.4.10.06.

Is this intentional or is it possible that the SG200-26 firmware was mistakenly uploaded to the SG200-08 downloads page?

You are right, there is no files available to upgrade from your Version to 1.4.X.

upgrade path in the documet shows 1.X to 1.3 and 1.4X - unfortunatly there is no files to download 1.3.

Suggest to contact cisco TAC for this issue, TAC can offer you that image.

may be you may have arleady upgraed document ; here is reference in case not come across

So just to conform, this means there is no update avail forth eSG200-08 - is this correct?

At the moment i can not confirm, But if the documetn says 1.3.X then there may be some files missing in the upgrade download, or due to some reason it was removed by cisco release team.

so suggest to contact TAC to confirm.

Note, a normal TAC case is not possible as Small Business systems don't have support contracts.  I did find a copy of the 1.3.5.x image and boot image at the following location (Zip File):

Downloads Home - Switches - LAN Switches - Small Business - Small Business 200 Series Smart Switches - SG200-26FP 26-port Gigabit Full-PoE Smart Switch - Smart Switch Firmware

as image version 1.3.5.58 and boot image 1.3.5.06

However, trying to apply sx200_boot-13506.rfb via either HTML and TFTP results in the following error and trying to load the boot code:  BootCode download through TFTP failed. CRC failure

Thanks Folks.  Unfortunate that it seems to be abandoned.  I did read that the reason this switch cannot use the latest firmware is that the firmware file sizes are too large for the switch - seems to be an SG200-08 issue only.

So what was conclusion, did Cisco TAC provided the new version for you ?
