I would like to like how can i set

2-10 ports as VLAN1 Network: 192.168.1.0

11-20 ports as VLAN2 Network: 192.168.2.0

I can create vlan2 but not sure where can set the ip already try to go to Administration->Management Interface->IPv4 Interface->Management VLAN: only have 1 not able to change 2 (vlan2)...

and how to assign the 11-20 to vlan2

Thanks

By the way

Im using rv042g as router, so it seems no way to setup different ip in same router, and different between rv200w, it can assign different ip in different vlan in different port, am i correct??

Im not too sure in this case where is the correct way to setup 2 diffenet network in 2 different vlan, router or switch??

tk,

The SG200-26 is a Layer 2 switch and can only have a single management IP. You cannot configure a second IP for VLAN 2.

To change the VLAN assigned to a port, browse to VLAN Management-> Port to VLAN. Select VLAN ID 2 from the dropdown at the top and press "Go" to the right. Check the radio buttons for Untagged for all ports that you want on VLAN 2. The rest of the ports will already be VLAN 1 untagged so there is no need to change that.

What is the purpose of having 2 routers? Can you draw a diagram of the final network topology that you wish to have?

im using rv042g, and want to create 2 vlan and assign port 2-10 use vlan1 and port11-20 use vlan2

1. I try internal vlan on rv042g but it seems cannot let me change network or give it a name for it

Port Management->Port Setup

2. I can create second subnet in Setup->Network->LAN Setting, but the problem is second subnet cannot using DHCP

I have to input static IP on PC

3. is this possible to set the switch like this define which port are using which vlan

4. I dont know why when I try to login the switch next day, it seem cannot let me login, and i assign the ip as 192.168.1.253, when i change it and test it, its fine, but next day wont allow me to connect

Hi TK Lam, what you're trying to do is very adminstrative intensive and not the most ideal. SG200 switch supports VLAN but it does not support routed VLAN. RV042 router supports multiple subnet but not DHCP for multiple subnet.

Most ideally you should use SG300 or SG500 switch and you can easily accomplish what you want.

tk,

I agree with Tom, SG300/500 would be a better option. Another way would be to use an RV220W instead of the RV042G if you can live without Dual WAN. As you mentioned it has much better VLAN functionality.

Hi, if I want to change like this how can i set port 11-20 are using another network in the switch

Thanks

Simply make the desired ports untagged  vlan member of whatever vlan you want them to connect where.

So in your case 11-20 could be vlan 2 while 1-10 can be vlan 1.

Keep in mind, these won't route between each other.

tk,

What is "router" in the drawing?

- Marty

another router in any brand

tk,

What is the reason to have two routers? Does the second router support VLANs and VLAN Trunk?
