sg300-10mp Port Voltage

I have a sg300-10mp PoE managed switch.  I am trying to get a PoE wireless access point made by a company called UniFi to work on this switch.  The tech support folks at UniFi sayit should work if the ethernet port on the cisco switch has a power output of 24 volts.  I have searched the documentation and cannot find what the output voltage is for the ethernet ports on this switch.  Does anyone have this information and if so, can you share it with me.  Thank You!!  Rich

Hi Richard, I believe more accurately what is needed is what POE specification does your access point use? 802.3af? 802.3at ? Which class of PoE device is it? This will dictate the information as the SX300 is 802.3af compliant.

Hi Richard, since your UniFi AP is not  802.3af compliant you will need a instant 802.3af Poe adapter. According to our datasheet all 8ports on the switch have a 124W consumption. Here's a datasheet in case you need it for referece. Also a Unifi site thats give you more info on this Poe adapter.

I talked to the folks at UniFi again.  I explained to them that the sg300-10mp is 802.3af compliant.  It turns out that UniFi sells an "Instant 802.3af Adapter" for just such switches.  I have ordered these adapters.  Once they arrive, I will let you know if they work as the folks at UniFi assure me they will.   Thanks for your help.
