Hi all
I have a SG-300-28 that loses all configuration (goes back to factory) after reboot from web configuration or power loss (I'm in South Africa, loadshedding is a problem).I've checked the PCB to see if there's a CMOS battery that I could replace, but no luck.
I would just like to know if this is a common occurrence, and what the reason might be for it not saving its configuration.
Please be gentle, as I'm quite new to forum's :D.

we have not encountered this issue any one before - make sure you save the config
make sure source and destination correct :

To elaborate on the above. No Cisco switches retain any configuration unless you manually save the configuration. This is essentially a failsafe. You can mess around with a switch as much as you want, safe in the knowledge that if you do something that puts it in a bad state, you simply power cycle it. You save the config when your happy you want to keep changes made.

Hi, I have the problem that the SF300 switches also lose the VLANs on the network ports when the power is rebooted or cut off.

try upgrade to 1.4.x and check, still issue open a SMB TAC case

Hello everyone, browsing and informing myself in forums I came to the solution is to deactivate the smart port on the switch. Apparently when there is a native vlan incompatibility or another change in the network, this alerts us to save the configurations, which we do thinking that we are going to lose the saved configuration or that we think we forgot to save some configuration. This way when you start the computer after a reboot the computer adopts the changes you saved with the smart port option.
