Hi,
I have 2 SGE2000P switches configured in a stack + Layer 3 mode.
We encountered the following problem:
sometimes the switch reboots automatically. After reboot it loses a part of the config. (i always copied the config from running to startup and backup config)
after the last reboot i tried to copy the configuration through telnet. i had following error: copy completed with errors.
when i check the logs i see following errors:

Hi Sander, these switches have a very poor stack implementation. They do encounter some various odd and unusual behaviors from time to time.
You can try to use the CLI on this device to write the config and hopefully it will stay for you.
telnet to the switch
hold down ctrl and hit the z key
type in lcli
then log in to the switch CLI this way.
The switch is 100% unsupported on the CLI and all of the feature set is also unsupported. But it another way to accomplish things. There is no documentation for the CLI.
You may also want to upgrade to the newest firmware.
If you do choose to upgrade to the newest software, I'd highly recommend to factory default that switch stack and manually reconfigure. It would make a big difference in behavior.

Hi Tom,
It has been a long time since you answered.
A small update on this problem.
I've updated the switches to the latest firmware. I can't repeat the problem on al my switches.
The switch were i can repeat the problem is a stand alone switch with the latest firmware.
I did a copy running config to start up and backup config with the command line (lcli) it's allways succesfull.
But when i do a reboot is alwas loses the pvid settings of all ports. They are turned back to default....
Thanks for your answer.
Sander
