Should the status of POE future alone allowed to determine the availability and usability of interface resources?

We have switches with expired smart-net support that have failed to bring the interfaces up due to power inline failure during post. I formatted the flash and put images designed for non-POE switches to see if the inline power failure status during post do not prevent the iOS from locating the interfaces for normal use. Should the status of POE future alone allowed to determine the availability and usability of interface resources?

Functionality to switch traffic should not be limited by Failed POE. The analogy to this is that a damaged camera on my smart phone is preventing me from dialing and reclining calls.

Absolutely agree! Network functionality shouldn't hinge on POE status alone. Just like a damaged Recliner camera shouldn't hinder basic phone functions. Interfaces' usability should be independent of POE, ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow.
