VLANs - Linksys SFE1000P & Catalyst

I have a Linksys SFE1000P switch which is VLAN capable.  I have been trying to configure it for trunking with my Catalyst switch but can't get it working.  I looked at the manual and followed the steps but I must be doing something wrong.   Has anyone done this?

I had to add the VLANs to the Trunk interface then then it was working.  

Hope this helps anyone having the same issue.
