i have configured vrrp on an cisco sg500x switch.
the vrrp is working correct with one limitation, that the vrrp ip is not pingable.
i found this case CSCue05663, but there is no fix and no workaround. for troubleshooting and other network services it is necessary that the gateway is pingable...
do anybody know what to do?
thank you.. michael

You could try a different firmware that's not listed as effected release take a chance it may not be effecting another version only other option is to wait for TAC to supply the fix

yeah, i have tried 3 software releases, on all the same...
the worry thing is that tac dosent have a road map to solve this...
pfffff...

Yes that's not good but even though its not on the roadmap it will probably be fixed in the next release as cases were raised against it, what about switching to HSRP temporarily if the other versions are the same in case its just isolated to VRRP ? Basically same type of protocol and features and if its all Cisco gear should work ok
