Hi,
Quick question as to why one would recommend upgrading to gigabit switches?
The network is poorly configured and has many bottle-necks where fast Ethernet ports connect to gigabit ports which is a separate issue. The internet connection in to this network is 10Mbps, but a valid question was raised as to why should an upgrade be required when the line in is much less than the current switch infrastructure. Email servers and data servers were moved to the cloud, the network only has 50 users using it and 100+ VPN users but since emails etc has been moved to the cloud this shouldn't be an issue.
Technically is there any limitation to this?
Any help is appreciated.
Cheers
Karl

Hi Karl,
Are you experiencing any performance problems?
Or is this a question in general?
Thanks,
Madhu.

General more than anything.
