Dear Members,

I have one 1841 router and it giving my following message:

Queued messages:
*Aug 31 10:26:03.359: %SYS-3-LOGGER_FLUSHING: System pausing to ensure console debugging output.

*Aug 31 10:26:03.291: %SMC-2-BAD_ID_HW: Failed Identification Test in 0/-1/-1 [1/0]

The module in 0/-1/-1 in this router may not be a genuine
Cisco product.  Cisco warranties and support programs only
apply to genuine Cisco products.  If Cisco determines that
your insertion of non-Cisco memory, WIC cards, AIM cards,
Network Modules, SPA cards, GBICs or other modules into a
Cisco product is the cause of a support issue, Cisco may
deny support under your warranty or under a Cisco support
       program such as SmartNet.

I removed all  modules and only remaining id built-in module, but still facing same problem, can you plesae guide me how to get rid of it, I would be thankful to you.....

Best regards,

Try a factory reset (wr erase).

If the problem remain, open an RMA request. Probably there is an hardware failure.

Regards.

Hi,

I have seen this issue multiple times in the past. The only solution to this problem is to have the Cisco1841 device get replaced. Kindly go ahead & do the needful.
