1900 router garbage character??

Dear All,

I have cisco router 1941 k9 router and when I try to connect to the router using console cable  it’s show me garbage character, I try different types speed wont connect the router.  can you please  help me.

What is your full parameter configuration?

As a 1941 router have you tried  9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, and no flow control.

thank you for your replay. i use 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit wont display anything and i try with different baud like 1200, 2400 ....but not working. the garbage character show up when i set the baud to 1200.

If you have gone through all the port speeds that are default to Cisco and tried different terminals and its still not working the console port is faulty it does happen but rarely
