Hi,

i have quite the same issue as previous post(https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11705241/cisco-1921-router-default-password-invalid),but i couldn't get into rommon mode. I used tera term in win10 x64.

Based on the procedure below from 1900 reset procedure. (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/3800-series-integrated-services-routers/112058-c1900-pwd-rec-00.html).

"Press Break on the terminal keyboard a couple of times after you see the message program load complete, entry point: 0x80008000, size: 0x6fdb4c in order to put the router into ROMMON."

and i send "break"(alt+b, shortcut for teraterm) but the process stop.. please advise, and i researched that i could open the router and remove the USBflash which also dont solve my issue.. pls advise.

thanks,

David

Have you tried pressing break virtually as soon as the router powers up,and keep trying until get into rommon, if see "program load complete" usually too late

Thanks richard.. this is what i did.. actually i did continuously pressed the break.. and yesterday i even removed the flash, still not able to get to rommon.. thanks.

1. Tried on T430 (win10 x64)
- Tera Term(alt+b)
- and HyperTerm private edition(using usb keyboard, ctrl+break)
Both NOT able to get to rommon.

2. Tried Redhat linux. using screen ttyACM0 9600 to serial connnect to 1921, using keyboard ctrl+break..
NOT able to get romon

FYI. "BREAK" sent before "program load complete, entry point: 0x80903000, size: 0x4c4a0"

Let me clarify, you are getting console output? from your previous post it looks like you are

Is the reason you want to go to Rommon for password recovery?

if you do nothing and let the router boot up, do you get a console prompt and can you input data

usually username /Password even if incorrect?

the router boots up and prompt for user/pass.. actually i lost the access info to this router that's why i need to bring it to factory default. Thanks.
