Experts I need some help.....I have several 1941w routers with EHWIC 4g-LTE-V cards and they are working well. Using the cellular connection as a failover. Can't get the new router to work. I've run debug modem and debug chat and when it fails over to the cellular I get the following:
*May 19 17:29:53.699: TTY0: pause timer type 1 (OK)
*May 19 17:29:53.699: TTY0: resume timer type 1 (OK)
*May 19 17:30:00.471: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface GigabitEthernet0/0, changed state to down
*May 19 17:30:01.471: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface GigabitEthernet0/0, changed state to down
*May 19 17:30:01.591: CHAT0/0/0: Attempting async line dialer script
*May 19 17:30:01.591: CHAT0/0/0: Dialing using Modem script: lte & System script: none
*May 19 17:30:01.591: CHAT0/0/0: process started
*May 19 17:30:01.591: CHAT0/0/0: Asserting DTR
*May 19 17:30:01.591: CHAT0/0/0: Chat script lte started
*May 19 17:30:01.591: CHAT0/0/0: Sending string: AT!CALL1
*May 19 17:30:01.591: CHAT0/0/0: Expecting string: OK
*May 19 17:30:21.591: CHAT0/0/0: Timeout expecting: OK
*May 19 17:30:21.591: CHAT0/0/0: Chat script lte finished, status = Connection timed out; remote host not responding
*May 19 17:30:21.591: TTY0/0/0: Line reset by "Async dialer"
*May 19 17:30:21.591: TTY0/0/0: Modem: (unknown)->HANGUP
*May 19 17:30:21.591: TTY0/0/0: no timer type 0 to destroy
*May 19 17:30:21.591: TTY0/0/0: no timer type 1 to destroy
*May 19 17:30:21.591: TTY0/0/0: no timer type 3 to destroy
*May 19 17:30:21.591: TTY0/0/0: no timer type 4 to destroy
*May 19 17:30:21.591: TTY0/0/0: no timer type 10 to destroy
*May 19 17:30:21.591: TTY0/0/0: no timer type 2 to destroy
*May 19 17:30:21.759: TTY0/0/0: dropping DTR, hanging up
*May 19 17:30:21.759: tty0/0/0: Modem: HANGUP->IDLE
*May 19 17:30:26.759: TTY0/0/0: restoring DTR
And it never makes a connection to Verizon. The new router is using the same EHWIC config I've used on the others:
chat-script lte "" "AT!CALL1" TIMEOUT 20 "OK"
interface Cellular0/0/0
ip address negotiated
ip nat outside
ip virtual-reassembly in
encapsulation slip

Hi there,
Is your profile set up with the correct APN? Certain commands don't show up in the configuration and that could be why it's not working.
You can follow this guide, which includes those commands:
http://www.internetworkingcareer.com/wan/configure-cellular-wan-ehwic/
Once you have verified that, can I see the output of show cellular <interface> all, and show cellular <interface> profile?
Also, you definitely have cellular connectivity right? If you were to transfer the card and antennas to your old router it would work?
Regards,
Tim
