2600 Flash SIMM Upgrade Problem

Hi NetPros. I added 8MB flash - SM732C2000AS-12 but after switching on the router and checking the memory status it is not reflecting the additional memory, it is still showing 16MB of flash instead of 24MB. I have 6 8MB flash and i checked all of them but no luck. Please help.

Is it a 2600 or a 2600xm?

The 2600 series max flash is 16 mb

the model is 2621XM.

I think the Flash you have is for the 2600 series. The 2600XM series accepts only 16mb or 32mb 3.3 volt flash. the 2600's is 5 volt.
