Hi Guys,

Recently we purchased C2960X-24TD-L. We were just trying to configure switch.

I just noticed there is high cpu rate even the nothing is connected.

Is it rates is normal ? It looks like high for me.

Software version is latest  : Cisco IOS Software, C2960X Software (C2960X-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.2(2)E, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3)

Hi,

This utilization is expected for this platform, as we can see on the show process cpu command the interrupt level is at 0% which is indicating a good behavior and the overall is 22% which normal and there is nothing to worry about.

The only process a bit high is Hulc LED Process. The "Hulc LED" process does following tasks:

- Check Link status on every port

- If the switch supports POE, it checks to see if there is a Power Device(PD) detected

- Check the status of the transceiver

- Update Fan status

- Set Main LED and ports LEDs

- Update both Power Supplies and RPS

- Check on system temperature status

Hope this helps, and you should not be concern at all.

Regards,

Leo
