Dear all,

Despite many, we fail to have a connection between 2 Cisco 2960-x Switches. The SFPs used are Cisco 100base-Fx with OM4 fiber jumper. We tested several types of SFPs without any results. Fiber is an OM4 and has been tested. Please could you help me ?

Regards

Hi @cablofibres ,

In this link you can search for compatibility with your device:

https://tmgmatrix.cisco.com/

Regards

in addition to the allready referred compatibility matrix i want to emphsize checking the SFP's.

- there are gigabit SFP slots 100Mb SFP slots (older Cisco switches)

- not all 100Mb FX spf's work in a gigabit SFP slot

- 100Mb speed is not with all hardwar detected automatically, you may need to manually set the speed of the SFP to 100Mb.

pls post output of show inventory or show interface status

Hi @luis_cordova

My SFP are Cisco SFP, that's why I don't understand. It is necessary to have a minimal IOS version ? Or to place specific command in CLI ?

Tks a lot

Have you tried reversing the LC pair on one end?

Hi mjewell1974

Yes we tried to reverse it. Same results.

I read that we have to need the IOS 12.2(25)FX , but without certainty.
