2960-X switch getting stuck during configuration.

Hello everyone,

 

Today we have installed a new Cisco 2960-X 48 ports switch in our data center and during configuration we observed that when we were using interface range gig 1/0/1 - 48 command to configure all interface in one time the switch got stuck and responded back after 40 to 50 seconds even with every Single command. when switch responded back so we checked the CPU utilization but that was normal.....

 

 

Is this default behavior of this switch or any problem ?????

Hello,

 

there are a few bugs related to using the interface range command. Which IOS are you running ? Release 15.2.4E6 MD is recommended.

Also, try and use a macro and check if that makes a difference. Define the macro first (see the link below):
