2960-X Web Console gone after FW update to c2960x-universalk9-tar.152-4.E8

Greetings,

After updating the switch through the web console with c2960x-universalk9-tar.152-4.E8.tar we no longer have the Web Console.

It initially gave a 404, but after reboot of switch it just loops back to the "Cisco Systems" default web page.

Any help is appreciated!

The CPS software which is included in the .tar maybe corrupt and need to be re-added , you can add the file separately , also check the directory for the .tar file and see if its in the switch flash

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I managed to download the CCP, setup tftp on my computer, copy the tar file and extract it on switch. It is now working as expected.

Where exactly did you extract the tar files? Onto the root of Flash?  I did this using TFTP and its still not working. Not sure if/how to extract into a sub directory...

Post the complete output to the command "dir flash:c2960x*".

I managed to fix it in the first switch by following the link posted above.

The output by switch 2, which i havent touched yet is:

Im curious as to why CCP is not part of the IOS update available for the switch tho, or if i really did something wrong/got a bad file when updating?
