Hi

I am having an issue with a c2960s-24ps-L (15.2.(1)E1 in a wirless enviroment. i have the 3560x-24p 12.2(55)SE1 as DHCP server with dhcp pool

couple of air-cap-3500 connected to the c2960s-24ps-l, other floors there are c3560v2-24PS 12.2(55)SE with air-cap-3500 connected.

so clients get ip address, and there is noe ip conflicts in the dhcp pool, but sometimes random clients(xp/win7) get; ip conflict 0.0.0.0 with mac .d31a

same mac on every client event id in windows [Tcpip / 4199]

"The system detected an address conflict for IP address 0.0.0.0

with the system having network hardware address D3-1A.

Network operations on this system may be disrupted as a result"

i found the mac adress source, its the frekin C2960S-24PS-L uplink port int gi1/0/26 ( GLC-SX-MMD ) the physical mac of the port.!?

have tried the different commands from Document ID: 116529

i have scimmed trough most of the cisco forums and others, and they usally end up fixing the client.

Could there be an IOS issue, new ios vs old ios ?

thank you.

[Update] on this issue, due to the fact that the other switches used older ios versions12.2(55) this issue was resolved with a downgrade from 15.2(1) to 12.2(55) no ip conflicts have been reported from any useres or windows logs for 2-4months since the downgrade.
