Hi,  I have several Cisco 2960 switches. I'm pretty sure the data sheet says it only has 2 gigabit uplinks.  However, I see 4 uplink ports (2 are copper and 2 are fiber) and I see 4 gigabit interfaces in the switch config.   I would like to use 3 of the gig interfaces (all active at the same time) as shown below.  Can do? Thanks in advance.

interface GigabitEthernet0/1
 description :fiber connection to 4507
 switchport mode trunk
 mls qos trust dscp
 spanning-tree guard loop
!
interface GigabitEthernet0/2
!
interface GigabitEthernet0/3
 description Copper to 2960B
 switchport mode trunk
 mls qos trust dscp
 spanning-tree guard loop
!
interface GigabitEthernet0/4
 description Copper to 2960C
 switchport mode trunk
 mls qos trust dscp
 spanning-tree guard loop

Hey,

Its little strange as you mentioned 2 copper and 2 SFP, generally you select the media-type, either SFP or ethernet and accordingly you may use the selected type. However if its there, then you surely can use it :)

Hi,

Wich is the part number of your 2960?

There are 2960 with 4 Gigabit Ethernet uplink ports but they are dual-purpose, so you can see 2 SFP and 2 Copper ports but you can only use 2 of them, for example connect an uplink with Copper an another with SFP.

There are 2960 with 4 Gigabit Ethernet uplink ports and they are dedicated.

Can you post a show ver please?

Regards.
