I'm going to upgrade a 3550 switch from c3550-i9q3l2-mz.121-13.EA1a to c3550ipservices9-mz.122-44.SE6.bin.
This will make it a EMI correct?
Is there anything else I have to install to make it a layer 3 switch?
My current flash shows 10,728,448 bytes free and the new image is 9,707,290 bytes.
I should be all right, correct? I'm always paranoid about the size.
If the flash is bigger than the image that I am installing, even by 1 byte, it should be ok?
Thanks, Pat.

Yes EMI, you'll be ok. You can also always delete the existing image, copy the new one, and reboot.

You should be good to go. You can always delete the existing image on the flash to free up some space. But I don't think that should be necessary at this moment considering the image size and the free flash space.
Cheers!
