I have a 4 switch stack. Port 1 switch 3 stack cabled to switch 4 port 2 shows that it's flapping up then down. Switch 4 is a new switch I just got on an RMA for this issue. We had thought swtich 4 was bad because if I stack cable a test switch to switch 3 port 1 it comes up with no issue. Could the new switch I just got be bad?

Possible for the stack cable not s_crewed in correctly.

All the stack cables are in correctly, and are tight. I've also swapped stack cables.

Hi greene,
Once i faced same issue, stack ports were flapping continously even after we fixed it tight with screws.
So what we did next was.
1. Powered of all the stack switches.
2. Removed the stack cables and re-screwed them tightly.
3. Then powered on all the stach switches......
And then there were no more stack port flaps............
This had worked for me.......may be you can try if it work for your case.........
