3750 trunk taking undersize error

Vinayaka Raman

I am taking only undersize errors on catalyst 3750 trunk interface (attached some outputs)...the other end is a 4500 switch and the interface is clean..can this be related to any bug ? this is my rootport and often leading to trouble sometims STP BPDUs transportations are affected..

Vinayaks,

I think you need to look at the 4500 end too

Undersize frames These are the total number of packets received that were less than 64 octets long (which exclude framing bits, but include FCS) and have a good FCS value. This is an indication of a bad frame generated by the connected device. Verify that the connected device operates correctly.

Check that the configurations at both ends are compatable

speed , duplex, encapsulation etc

Alex.

Vinayaka,

Can you show :-

from the 3750

sh run int g1/0/1

------------------------------

From the 4500

show int gi 5/4 controller

(Sorry about the VIP & rating, dont know what happened when I

was browsing)
