Is there a way to kill or abort a hung software install process on a 3850? It hung on the starting compatibility checks portion. I can't restart the install because the switch complains another install is already in progress. I don't want to do a reload because I am remote at the moment and think it might not come back up. The switch is still running and accessible through telnet. If I do a "show processes" I can see multiple install processes running but don't know how to kill them.

I don't have a 3850 in front of me to test if the command works on the platform, and it's software dependent, by try: no process cpu pid <process id>

As far as I know, there is no command in the Cisco IOS to kill a Process. Hence I would say, its not possible to kill a process on this switch.

We have one in ASR :-
run top_procs -K
On Nexus we load the debug plugin and kill hte process.
