Hello,
we running a couple of 3850 stacks. The switches are connected via Stack wise cable, but no Stack power cable.
On one stack I get the following log message:
%PLATFORM_STACKPOWER-4-CABLE_B_CURRENT_OUT: Switch 1 stack power cable 2 outward current is over the limit
What's the problem of the stack, because there is no stack power cable connected, which can course the log message.
What do you think I should check?
Are there some commands?
Regards

Are you seeing this issue recently all the time from the day 1 installed switch ?
what IOS XE code running on this, Looks for me Bug or any hardware issue (if you get chance check the all cables intact, if you get chance reload and observe the logs)
check below command see that fix the issue ;
#show stack-power - check
try disabling example :
#stack-power switch 1 port 1 disable
Also worth Looking any latest IOS XE code available for you to upgrade.

Hi,
thanks for the information.
IOS Version: 16.6.10
See it since couple of weeks, every minute with the same log entry
Aug 21 06:26:37.758: %PLATFORM_STACKPOWER-4-CABLE_B_CURRENT_OUT: Switch 1 stack power cable 2 outward current is over the limit
Aug 21 06:27:37.760: %PLATFORM_STACKPOWER-4-CABLE_B_CURRENT_OUT: Switch 1 stack power cable 2 outward current is over the limit
Aug 21 06:28:37.595: %PLATFORM_STACKPOWER-4-CABLE_B_CURRENT_OUT: Switch 1 stack power cable 2 outward current is over the limit
Maintenance Windows for reload, is not that easy to get
Can you recheck the command for disabling the interface?
It's not avaible on the switch.
I will also check in the bug list for the current IOS Version.
Regards
