I have a 3850 stack with 2 switches and stack power. I have a simulation test where I am required to shutdown one switch at a time. The switches also have stack power so pulling the power cable will not help. So I am planning to use the below procedure, please advise whether my procedure is right.
SW#power supply 2 slot A off
SW#power supply 2 slot B off
Now pull the power cable of the desired switch.
At the end execute the following command.
SW#power supply 2 slot A on
SW#power supply 2 slot B on

Depends on how you configured for the Stack Power :
Take example if you have 2 switch and have stack power configured.
Switch 2 lost the power, Switch 1 will be provided power to Switch 2.
show stack-power - can you post output to have look
show run
