Dear All

I am trying to create a policymap with police on SVI interface but getting an error

"set action(with/without table-map) is only action allowed in non-hierarchical SVI Policy, Policy Rejeted"

bandwidth command on SVI interface is actually not limiting the traffic .

Please help is there any way to get the bandwidth restrictions can be applied on SVI interface. I have a IPservices permanent liscenced IOS

Regards

Kumar

Policing cannot be applied to a SVI, it must be applied to physical ports. As taken from the QoS configuration guide;

Although the policy map is applied to the VLAN SVI, any policing (rate-limiting) action can only be performed on a per-port basis. You cannot configure the policer to take account of the sum of traffic from a number of physical ports. Each port needs to have a separate policer governing the traffic coming into that port.

The error you see is a bit ambiguous, Cisco have this documented as a cosmetic bug (https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCul55285/) and "fixed" in later releases to be more clear.
