3850 Wired Captive Portal

Is there a way to set up a 3850 running IOS-XE 16.3.6 to use an external web server to host the captive portal login page? All of the documentation I can find talks about hosting the login page on the switch locally. I'm looking to test wired captive portal on a 3850 but I don't want the login page hosted locally on the switch.

i dont believe so never seen anything setup like that before as its built into the switch itself
