Dear All,
I have cisco 3850-x switch which currently have smart evaluation license but when the license expire does this effect any operation on the switch?

Ok, so the switch is running 16.9.X and this means Cisco Smart License (CSL).

But what will happen if the evaluation just expires without configuring the smart license... Unable to find that.

For now, nothing happens.
The logs simply gets spammed reminding about expired licenses.

Same issue here, have a switch in production that came out of the box, smart contract is not activated and evaluation mode expires in few days. Did your switch features such as ACL's or routing turned off after the evaluation ended? I cannot find this and activating is not simple in my environment since it needs internet access for that and it is already in production.

Turns out it just keeps working after the evaluation ended, no issue even after reboots
