40G 400m over OM4 standard

It seems 40G can reach 400m over OM4, but is it standard?

I read in the Cisco 40GBASE QSFP Modules Data Sheet:

"Cisco 40GBASE-CSR4 QSFP Modules extend the reach of the IEEE 40GBASE-SR4 interface to 300 and 400 meters on laser-optimized OM3 and OM4 multimode parallel fiber"

Is Cisco 40G CSR4 standard (I see other manufacturers like Dell have 40G-eSR4)?

Can mixed solutions of 40G over 400m inter operate?

Or is a better solution go to single moder fiber for 40g for distances longer than 150m?

thanks

The speed and interface are standard as long as you are not using any propitiatory optics like Cisco bi-di.

Also, other vendor optics like Dell, Juniper, Intel have their own part numbers but meet the standards.

Yes, as long as the optics are compatible.

For 150m, there is no need to go to single-mode.  Multi-mode will works just fine. Also, multi-mode cables and optics are much more cost effective.

OK, but all the vendors have different names for 40G up to 400m over OM4, it seems ther is not an standard:

- Cisco 40G-CSR4

- Dell 40G-eSR4

- Arista 40G-XSR4

So, can I connect a Cisco 40G-CSR4 on one side and a Dell 40G-eSR4 on the other side for a 40G connection over OM4 and about 400m?
