40G port doesn't come up in 6840-X

Hi,

I have a C6840-X-LE-40G running release 15.2(2)SY with two QSFP-40G-SR-BD transceivers installed on ports Fo1/41 and Fo1/42. The issue is that port Fo1/41 doesn't come up, I have a fiber loop on it but the port state is always "notconnect". The device is configure as default in "oversubscription mode", I tried to enable "performance mode" but the port Fo1/41 doesn´t come up neither.

Hi,

So, are you trying to loop to ports using the same switch?

Is the fiber patch good?

Have you tested the same cable with another device to make sure its good cable?

Hi Reza!

Yes, the cable is good, the loop works on port Fo1/42. The problem is port Fo1/41. I have three different devices with the same behaviour.

Problem solved! It was a bug on 15.2(2)SY, I have to upgrade to 15.2(2)SY2.
