Hmmm ... Are you talking about the new VSS-Sup2T?
100Gb is too far away because the price of the module(s) is about the price of a Bentley.
40Gb ... All I can say is that if you have X6708-10GE blade, then you can kiss this goodbye because the new Sup2T won't support this blade. X6704-10 and X6716-10 will need to have a DFC upgrade.

Hi Ibrahim
All X67XX with DFC3 need an upgrade to DFC4 to be compatible with the Sup2T
New line modules:
X6908-10GE 8*10GE 80Gb Backplane wire speed no oversubscription
X6904-40GE 4*40GE 80Gb Backplane 2:1 oversubscription
The Sup2T works with 2 channel of 40Gb per slot to the switch fabric,
so there is no easy way to implement 100Gb interfaces
100Gb is not planned for the 6500 Series, that will be the job for Nexus 7000

Hi Ibrahim,
The Sup2T will be the last and final supervisor upgrade for the 6500. The 6500 is scheduled for End-of-Sale in around 2020. By that time the 100Gb module will be affordable and the Nexus line will take over from the ubiquitous 6500.

Hi Ibrahim,
If you're still interested, the VS-Sup2T will be formally unvieled to the world on or before Cisco Live 2011 Las Vegas (10 - 14 July 2011).
