4402 WLC, Netgear Switch, 802.1q

Hi,

I'm trying to get a link up between port 1 on my WLC and a GIG-E port on a netgear FS526T switch. I currently have it configured like this:

- 4402: management interface with a VID of 2 on distribution port 1 (copper glc).

- FS526T: VLAN ID's 1, 2 configured. Port PVID is 2 for every port. Ports are set to untag exiting frames, except for frames exiting port25 (which connects to the WLC).

Link status stays down on the distribution port; any idea what I have configured wrong?

On the WLC, >show port 1 reports the link status as down.

I had the link up on another switch but need to get it working on this one.

It may be misconfiguration is one of the reason. Colud you paste show run output.

I later tried a couple other switches with no luck (and many different switch vlan config's). I've got a new 1000BASE-T SFP and another switch (HP) coming in today.

Thanks for the help!

It was the SFP! Got link now.
