I have switch configuration in notepad. Please let me know what is the best way to copy this configuration to the switch?

If the config is large, copy and paste it in multiple segments, so if there is any error you can see it and fix it.

Use TFTP.
Put the file into the default TFTP folder and do the following:
1. reload in 10
NOTE: This tells the switch to reload in 10 minutes. In case your configuration is incorrect and you won't be able to get back in, the switch will reboot to the old working configuration.
2. copy tftp://<TFTP IP Address>/FILENAME.TXT run
NOTE: You DO NOT want to copy to startup config. If your configuration has mistakes and your switch locks up, you have no way of correcting this remotely.
3. write
NOTE: If you are happy, save the config
4. reload can
NOTE: Cancels the scheduled reload.
