4506E 4200W PS

Hi Guys,

We are going to deploy 4506E w/ 4200W power supplies. Cisco documentation states that both PS should be on separate electrical branch circuit.

As each PS has two power inputs (cables), two PS have four power inputs (cables) in total.

The questions are:

-Do we need two or four branch circuits for connectiong four power inputs?

-How many Amps should those branch circuits have?

Thank you.

Hi,

That means that each power supply needs its own dedicated branch circuit that said you will need 2 branch circuits.

About the Amps see below:

For North America—15 A or 20 A

For International—Circuits sized to local and national codes
