4510 Dual SUP + Cluster command

Hi, I am trying to remove the cluster configuration from a 4510R with dual SUP configured as commander. Each time I try to issue "no cluster enable", or "no cluster run", the active SUP fails over to the standby, and the configs are back again. Any idea how to remove it? Why does the SUP failover?

Smells like an IOS bug to me, then again, I've never enabled cluster on a 4000/4500 chassis before.
