Hi all, we have 2 4510 switches running 12.2-25-ewa, thoses seems to reboot by themselves about every 3 months, every times showing only a strange time set error. every time they reboot, they don't reboot normally and no traffic is flowing... the only solution we have found so far is to reboot both with a power ON/OFF cycle.
Here are the last few lines in the log prior to the error:
00:00:03: %C4K_REDUNDANCY-6-INIT: Initializing as ACTIVE supervisor

Hello,
Please paste the output of "show platform hardware interface all" from your switch.

Hi,
I have found out a BUG on the IOS that we are running and that could possibly be hitting us here.
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCsb61172
But we cannot be certain on this as we have a totally different command output from what has been suggested.
There are two things that I could suggest you right now:
1 Upgrade the switch IOS to the latest one and see if that problem happens again.
2 Contact TAC and work with them closely on this.
If I were you, I would have certainly tried the option 1 first and then contact TAC. Check how you want to proceed on this.
HTH,Please rate if it does.

Hi,
I had this issue before in our org, when we have raised TAC case to Cisco to ask for the reason to reboot, they advised us to replace the SUP engine, 4948 10 GE is a fixed switch, it is not a modular one, so we have replaced the entire unit and now it is working fine.
