I have one 6506-E in production network with s2t54-IPSERVICESK9-M), Version 15.0(1)SY3.

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(50r)SYS2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1).

And i am going to form vss with another new 6506-E. But the System Bootstrap is not in the same version.
ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(50r)SYS3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

So may I know if the ROMMON should be in the same version? Since I did not find any requirment about ROMMON in vss. Thanks!

Hi,

Check out the below link on software /hardware pre-requsite for VSS configuration.

Hope it Helps..

Rate if it Helps

Yes, Thanks.

But the problem is my IOS is in the same version. Only the ROMMON version is different.

And the hardware and software requirements of VSS do not talk about the ROMMON requirment.

So I am just want to make sure the different ROMMON version will not cause any problem of the VSS migration. Thanks.

Esther,
