6506e to 9606R upgrade PVST to rapid pvst

I wanted your advise and best practice doc sharing for upgrading existing PVST on in production 12  6506e switches to rapid pvst on all upgraded Cisco 9606R switches as replacement to 6506E.

Pls note the migration would be one switch per week.

S rapid pvst on one 96006R compatible with pvst on other switches and convergence time will follow rapid standard only when all switches are replaced with 9606R having rapid pvst?
