Alexandre,

The 6500 White Paper should help you understand how the packet flows depending on the module inserted in the chassis

Could you clarify what you are asking - the 67xx do not and cannot use the 32Gbps shared bus as they are fabric only cards.

Jon

Dear Jon,

I mean, If I have in the same chassis 01 61xx module and 01 67xx module and 01 Sup CEF720. Will the Sup720 to connect the 32Bus to 720 Matrix ? Once more TKS - Alexandre

Alexandre

The Supervisor has connections to both the 32Gbps classic bus and to the cross bar switch fabric. It has to so it can communicate with the different type of modules in the chassis.
