Hi,
we noticed after few days reboot occur on only one stack of 6 x 9200 Switches
Reload Reason Switch 1: stack merge
Reload Reason Switch 2: stack merge
Reload Reason Switch 3: lost both active and standby
Reload Reason Switch 4: lost both active and standby
Reload Reason Switch 6: lost both active and standby
then Switch 5 become the new Master. Switch 5 is not rebooting.

this has been tested with no change - still reboots on16.9, 16.12 and 17.5
do you know what would be this coming from ?

Please post the complete output to the command "dir".
NOTE: Remove only the switch name. Leave the rest alone.

Can you post show run and show switch. make sure stack ring is ok and 100% can you post some logs if you have any ?
we noticed after few days reboot occur on only one stack of 6 x 9200 Switches
is the stack automatic rebooting ? or only 1 switch ?( i would not advise go to 17.5 ) i would be happy if you can be 16.12 .X or 17.3.X

we are currently not able to follow the exact order of reboots, but l think we found something in regards to the stack ring(marked in red), is this related to the stack cables or stack modules ?

- Check the Stack Cabling , verify that all connections are solid and good.

When you get chance, worth to turn off the whole stack, and reseat the cables and test
06-22-2021 02:09 AM
- Check the logs when this happens, preferably use a syslog-server, so that logging can be monitored at all times, sometimes production-situations and corresponding info's can be indicative of an upcoming problem and or 'last gasp' information may also get logged on the syslog-server.

we switched stack cables from 3/2 to 2/2 and seems this has resolved the issue.
thanks all

Glad all good, we were suspected Physcal cables as before.
