9200 upgrade failed : Invalid export syntax: /flash/.EXPAND_MOUNT_HOHJ

Hi All,

I been hit with the below error while trying to upgrade Cat 9200 Bundle mode to Install Mode from Version 16.12.x to 17.06.x and appreciate any input

Please find the error below

i was not sure what happened,  (looks to me space issue with one of the devices in the stack) - make sure you have enough space before the upgrade takes place.

you use to remove inactive before copying new image files to switch since you did remove it removed 17.6.4 also as per the logs.

Also, I suggest to first converting Bundle to Install mode (before upgrading) and then reloading entire stack

and upgrade install mode with new IOS XE

Yes the command removed the latest image and we added it again for the upgrade . I saw the space issue but when the first switch thrown an error I was not sure what the error was for as Switch 1 had good space

Can you please specify the command to use to covert bundle to install mode because we used the command and it was not taking in

have you cleaned up the space for all devices? if all ok follow the below steps: when you install it automatically converts into install mode, so you do not need to do it again as separate steps.

KEY is SPACE.

Also make sure switch stack operating as expected no errors, if you get any errors reboot the whole stack and follow mentioned steps. 

Copy the image to respected switches
# copy tftp:/x.x.x.x/cat9k_lite_iosxe.xxxxxxxxxxx.bin flash:
# dir flash:*.bin - check the image in the switches
(config)# boot system flash:packages.conf
(config)# exit
# wr
# show boot system ( verify as below)
BOOT variable = flash:packages.conf
# install add file flash:cat9k_lite_iosxe.xxxxx.bin activate commit

Post the complete output to the following commands: 

1. dir flash-1:
2. dir flash-2:
3. sh version
