9300 stack-port CRC errors

Anyone experiencing a lot of CRC errors on stack-ports? Out of ~4000 stack-ports in the environment, ~500 have CRC errors, with 1/4 of those having significant numbers (100s to Million+). I get that some CRC errors can be normal due to stack interface changes (switchover/reload), - but this seems a ridiculous amount. Some of these have caused our stacks to reboot. In the process of swapping stack cables on the biggest offenders, but we should not see that many CRC errors happening on these new installs.

That sounds like the person who has been installing the stacks have been doing the wrong stuff.

Visually inspect those stacks having errors.  I want to know the following:

  1. Is the Cisco logo (both ends of the stacking cable) pointing up or down?
  2. Are the screws of the stacking cables screwed in, left dangling or half in?
