9300s to nexus for top of rack

Hi guys

we generally use 9300s for top of rack switches and stack them for resiliency, with port channels from the servers to them.

with the stacked 9300s, the control plane is the stack master, if something goes wrong we generally lose both switches.

To get around this, would it be a good idea to look at some nexus 10G copper top of rack switches, then run a VPC between them, this way both switches control planes are active and should be better protected against a failure?

They connect to a cat 9600 core.

what are people’s thoughts here?

Also, we use the 9300-24-UXB, what would the equivalent nexus line be?

cheers

Carl
