we try to to deploy 2 9500 32qc switch in virtual stackwise configuration. configuration ran smoothly without any issues but after reload each switch cant find other switch to bond. i followed below configuration
stackwise virtual
domain 10
int fo1/0/16
stackwise virtual link 1
int fo1/0/17
stackwise-virtual dual-active-detection

on both switches
i tried stack cables to connect same port numbers on each switches and later changed to other port numbers
on show results each switch showing their fo1/0/16 ports only

We raised TAC case for this. TAC engineer tried different port 1/45, 46 & 48. Its started to work. there is no technical reason from him why it didnt workout with other ports. L1 should be up before we confiure the ports

Hi,
Can you post the output of "sh run" from both switches?
int fo1/0/16
stackwise virtual link 1
According to the above config, you have only configured 1/0/16 for the SVL.

Are your Fo1/0/16 and Fo1/0/17 native 40G or 100G ports. The configuration guide says "On C9500-32QC, you can configure SVL and DAD only on native 100G and 40G interfaces (default configuration ports). You cannot configure SVL and DAD on converted 100G and 40G interfaces."

Also, adding these known SVL related issues, these might not be related to your issue but still have a quick look.

The configurations look good. Which SFPs are you using on the Fo1/0/16 and Fo1/0/17 ? please share the SFP exact model and VID (version ID) for all 4 ports.
Also, when you power on both Switches with the SVL link (Fo1/0/16---Fo1/0/16) connected, the issue that you see is that both Fo1/0/16 on each end remains down/down?
Could you share all console outputs from both Switches when you power them on with the SVL link connected ?
